Conservation Work
-
Wolves have come back to California after more than a hundred years. Our mission is to highlight the importance of wolves for healthy ecosystems. Our conservation efforts involve research, advocacy for better laws, and outreach to legal representatives. We are also raising money for non-lethal solutions to human-wildlife conflicts, reducing wolf deaths.
-
Education inspires change. We teach youth about wildlife protection, empowering them for a better future. Through conservation lessons in schools and youth programs we improve the outlook for wolves while uplifting community. Through marketing on various media platforms, we reach over 180K people weekly with wolf conservation news.
Our Sanctuary
-
We are home to 27 rescued wolf-dogs who have been saved from euthanasia, neglect, abandonment or abuse. About 50% of our wolf-dogs come from shelters before being euthanized. We are dedicated to rescuing and providing a safe haven for wolf-dogs
-
We collaborate with trusted fosters, rescues, and sanctuaries to find permanent homes for displaced wolf-dogs. This gives these misunderstood animals a second chance. Since our founding, we have rescued over 200 animals, including wolf-dogs, northern breeds, and other dogs, and we work weekly to place them in loving homes.
-
We get people reaching out weekly via email, phone, or direct messages regarding wolf-dogs that are in need of homes. If you are contemplating adoption or fostering, complete this application for review. Your commitment could make a significant difference in the life of a wolf-dog in need.
Women’s Initiatives
-
We offer scholarships to women devoted to the protection of wolves who aspire to build careers in wildlife, conservation, and animal care, empowering the next generation of conservation leaders.
-
We highlight the bond between women and wolves, both of which are often misunderstood and abused. Our programs feature outdoor therapy, breath-work or meditation with wolf-dogs, and art classes that provide solace to women. We collaborate with domestic violence organizations to support healing journeys.
Apply to our grant for women who want to pursue careers in conservation.
